Wairarapa Environmental are making sure it’s not just the townies who get a first-class waste collection service. We know it can be a real hassle taking waste into the transfer station and the temptation to dump waste on your own property comes at a cost. Wairarapa Environmental has some excellent waste collection options for rural customers.

Most cost efficient: When you have a large amount of waste

Time: The Bin is delivered and removed 4 days later

Emptied: One Empty. Max Payload 1 Tonne

Payment: This is a prepaid Service and can be paid by credit card or cash on Delivery

1.8M Hiab Bin Service

Suitable for: Suitable for: General Waste Only (NO Concrete Dirt, Rock etc NO Asbestos, NO Green Waste) OR Green Waste Only

Time: The Bin is emptied on request

Emptied: One Empty. Max Payload 1/2 Tonne

Payment:This is a prepaid Service and can be paid by credit card or cash on Delivery

Conditions:

Permanent must be emptied at least once per month
Bin is not to be removed from site

Payment Options

You can pay by direct debit (weekly or fortnightly) or in advance (for 3, 6 or 12 months).
Advance payments can be made by cheque, credit card or internet banking.

Limited to rural properties adjacent to towns. Please call 06 378 8294 to confirm availability in your area.

Collection days

For those who live in designated rural areas your wheelie bin MUST be out by 7.00am on the day of collection.

Keep it safe and practical

We ask our clients to ensure the bin lid is closed flat. Please do not jump on your rubbish to squash it in.

NO green waste in general waste bins
Wheelie bins are not suitable for earth or rubble, rocks and bricks
NO hot ashes
NO paints or solvents
NO substance or chemical of flammable, hazardous, toxic or explosive nature or any substance that requires special handling
NO PCB’S or car tyres

Trialling two-crate weekly recycling for some rural customers.

From August 2012 we are trialling a weekly collection of two recycling crates in parts of the Wairarapa. We hope to extend this service over time.
